Minutes from 7/23 meeting

Attendance: Thor, Jim, Steve, Brad

Jim brought postcards to hand out advertising August 2 show. If you are participating in the show, Jim needs $3/person for the postcards. If you would like some to distribute, let me (Brad) know. I will be posting on the community calendars. Brad will contact Jake about adding the show to the website.

Six people are signed up for the show: Jake, Monica, Jim, Thor, Jon, and Brad. Each person will have about an 8' space depending on the size of the tables Gateway Market has. There can be more space if needed, but think Gateway Market has 8' serving tables. Brad will get a diagram of layout and artists' spot e-mailed after communicating with Gateway Market about the amount of space we need.

John Burns is the musicain who will be performing from 5-8 PM.

Show is from 4-9 pm, but artists can be there at 2 to set up if needed/wanted to.

Thor is making a sign for guests to sign and leave e-mail.

Steve is looking into having another show at Java Joes September 12. Going to see if the date is available. Fitch building was three times more expensive. Was thinking could use some of the difference in renting costs to "beef up" advertising for September show. Really focus on Court Ave. and East Village for advertising.

Wanting September show to be "interactive" theme. Be thinking about how to incorporate an interacting component with your display/art if possible.

Brad reminded people about the Ingersoll Live show on August 23.

Discussed usage of forum for communication, and all members utilizing it to contribute ideas.

No meeting date was set for next meeting.
