Well this is James Goeztz. Jake thanks so much for starting this forum. Its going to be a great addition.

Bonnie here...just some ideas. A mission statement should be brief and give an overview of who we are and what we are about. The letter James sent out wanting feedback is a necessary starting point to answer those questions.

An outline might go like this.

Example: The Artists Coop is a (juried/non juried) group of artists wanting to provide information and support for artists and those who wish to surround themselves with the beauty and talent that is offered here..........

Example: A.C.E (D.R.A.W.N.) is a talented group of artists from a variety of artistic mediums. This coop meets on a regular basis to provide networking opportunities that increase our visibility within our community as well as on the Internet........

Example: Our mission is to offer a cooperative environment which provides opportunities, information and support to its members, and functions as a leader in working with businesses, schools and communities in a way that enhances the experience of both...............

The possibilities on this are endless, and the input from the others should help to narrow the scope of what the members want the group to represent.....
