James Goetz

My name is James Goetz. I'm disabled and also have Diabetes.
I grew up in Ottumwa, IA. Living a very simple life but knew that
I was different as a children. I have used my creative side for
years being involved from painting to writing poetry. I moved to
Des Moines, IA, a little over a year ago. For a long time I just
used art as therapy, but in the last year I have gotten real
serious about my art. I use my paintings to express my feelings
and show who I am as a person.

Most of my painting are abstract and I also basically paint with
Acrylics. I consider myself to be very green. I paint on things
that have been recycled. From small signs to the backs of
wood wine crates. I am using new techniques to create some
thing different every day.
