Downtown Des Moines

I contacted the special events coordinator from the Downtown Community Alliance about possible locations for any shows we might do during the winter months. I asked specifically about the skywalk area near Kaleidiscope and near Wells Fargo. I said that we would look at working collaboratively with another scheduled event, or look at the possibility of Art-A-Holics sponsoring an art show.

My wife said that the skywalk used to have an art show, so if nothing else, we may become aware of another opportunity.

I'll keep you posted.

hmmmmmm.....something like that could be great for a Christmas-season show.

I've had no luck really with my contact. She actually manages the Downtown Farmers Market, so I ran the idea by her about our group having a space with two artists per week alternating every week to get a variety. I'll see where this leads us. I told her to put me on her mailing/e-mail list for various opportunities.
