The next "BIG" show... Empty The next "BIG" show...

Hi everyone,

As some of you know, I'm working on formulating plans for the next "big" show. With the Gateway Market thing coming up, I'm looking at early September, instead of late August. I'll pass along location details as soon as I have them.

As for the show itself, Shawn had suggested setting up to do body art, to add an "interactive" element. I love the idea, and would like to expand on it by adding other "interactives" -such as technique demonstrations, or other things of interest that get guests involved directly. If maybe 3-4 others besides Shawn can do something, that would be great. Please let me know your ideas.

Monica had mentioned interactives being the theme of the next show. I like that idea. I noticed at the June show, some of you have a little hesitation about talking to guests about your work - the interactives will make that task a little easier!

Other suggestions for the next show? Please add them to this thread!

Jim had called me and told me about a gallery tour or something of the such for September 5 and 6. I don't know much about it. I heard from another source that to be put on the map or to have the bus stop at your location, it costs quite a bit of money. But, I think it is worth looking in to. I already have a show booked for that weekend, but I think this would be a good event to piggy-back off of for the group.

If that doesn't work, the only free weekend I have in September is the 13th, so I'd selfishly like to see that date if nothing comes of the above information. Very Happy

Thanks for getting started on working on something!

That would be "Art Stop". I thought it only stopped at permanent galleries, but if someone wants to contact Metro Arts Alliance and find out about it, that would be great.

Isn't the Fitch Gallery permanent?
