Alzheimer's Association Charity Auction - Feb 28, 2009

I did a mirror for this last year, and it was a great time. I'm already planning on doing a mermaid mirror for this one. It's a great, challenging project and it's for a good cause - so I hope some more of you will be willing to participate. I got my mirror last year at Goodwill for $5.

The Alzheimer's Association is looking for local artists to decorate a mirror or picture frame in your own unique style for the 2nd "An Evening of Reflections" fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2009.

Artwork can reflect your memories, loved ones, your artistic talents,
hobby or theme you’d like to celebrate.

All sizes of mirrors and frames accepted, but please contact the Alzheimer’s Association if finished work is over 36” in any dimension. All mirrors & frames will be auctioned at the event. We do have a limited # of undecorated mirrors and frames available.

Funds raised by Reflections will support programs and services that locally benefit people living with Alzheimer’s disease as well as fund research to find a cure.

All finished mirrors must be registered with the Alzheimer’s Association by February 6, including a picture, description and artist statement. Drop off appointments will be set the following week. For more information, call 440.2722
